Members having a well deserved rest after the walk

In June, our Rough Common, Harbledown & Blean Group held a highly successful sponsored walk despite the lower numbers taking part this year, raising £1,000 for groups funds. It was a beautiful day for the walk along the coast from Hampton Pier to Whitstable Harbour and return, just over 7km. Huge thanks go to family, friends and the congregation of Blean Church who so generously sponsored our band of five walkers. Additional group members and friends manned the finish post where everyone enjoyed refreshments, including a delicious lemon drizzle cake.
